Judging
Industry leaders who are a part of the ANA Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing committee or have an expertise in Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing have the opportunity to become a judge. Over the course of three rounds of judging, agency and client side executives evaluate the submissions on three key factors: Creativity, Relevance and Impact. The Score weighting is as follows:
40% Creativity
How does the campaign stand out in terms of originality and execution? Judges will assess the concept, storytelling, and visual/auditory appeal, examining how the campaign brings fresh, engaging, and culturally resonant ideas to life. This may include creative use of language, imagery, partnerships, and activations that make the campaign distinctive and compelling.
40% Relevance
How well does the campaign authentically connect with its target audience? Judges will evaluate the depth of cultural understanding reflected in the execution, ensuring that the campaign accurately represents the intended multicultural audience with nuance and authenticity. This includes how well it integrates language, traditions, values, and lived experiences in a way that feels organic and resonant. The strategic use of cultural insights, messaging, and media channels will also be considered in assessing the campaign’s effectiveness in engaging its audience.
20% Impact
Did the campaign achieve meaningful results aligned with its objectives? Judges will evaluate success based on either brand impact, business impact, or both, depending on the campaign’s goals. Brand Impact may include metrics such as shifts in purchase intent, brand perception, awareness lift, social engagement,
share of voice, and audience growth. Business Impact may include sales lift, market share gains,
conversion rates, customer acquisition, or increased in-store/online traffic.
This in-depth review will help identify which submissions are worthy of consideration to win a Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing Excellence Award. All winners will then be recognized by the industry at the 2025 Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing Excellence Awards Gala on the second evening of the ANA Multicultural and Inclusive Marketing Conference.
Here is what prior judges have to say:
Having the privilege to review the best and most brilliant examples of multicultural and inclusive marketing was tremendously inspiring. It reignited my passion in using advertising and marketing to change the world. We truly hold the influence and to see brands take this responsibility seriously is truly heartwarming.
Participating as a judge is invigorating. The organization makes the process easy. I was allowed to focus on the case studies and the work. Outstanding experience!
Judging the multicultural and inclusive marketing excellence awards allows me to mindfully connect with meaningful campaigns. The creative we review goes beyond messaging features and benefits to powerfully shift perceptions and welcome change. The rewards are in the results and the award is the recognition of the talents and teams it took to achieve those goals.
I was able to learn from peers and leverage different approach to bring insights to life. I truly enjoy the out of the box thinking to continue connecting with consumer with a common insight viewed from a different perspective.
